Below is the camera rig Offshore Films owns and uses to capture high-definition video. It is Sony’s CineAlta PMW-350ENG/EFP style camera with 2/3” Exmor CMOS sensors, delivering stunning 1920x1080p HD picture quality. All images and sound are recorded to 32gig SxS Sony flash cards meaning this camera is completely solid-state with no tape-drive mechanisms to fail. The lens is a Fujinon XA-16x8A-XB8 high-definition lens with special features such as auto-focus. Coupled to the lens is the swing-away RedRock Micro matte box that holds 4 x 5.65” glass filters should a filtered shot be needed. The Rode NTG-2 shotgun microphone is superior to the stock microphone in rejecting off-axis noise and delivers a clean authentic audio signal to four digital channels in the camera. Mounted behind the Anton-Bauer battery is a Shure single-channel wireless microphone transceiver. The rig sits on a Sachtler Video 18 II fluid head and tripod. Optional gear includes a Convergent NanoFlash and a camera-top 7” LCD monitor.
My demo samplers are hosted by VideoHD. Please click on the link below to go to the Offshore Films Portfolio. Also, be advised that many large corporations have IT departments who have placed filters to block video sites such as VimeoHD and YouTube on company computers. If the screens are black when you go to this site, then you cannot access the videos. In this case, please contact Offshore and I will send discs to you. But keep in mind that just as you are unable to access VimeoHD, you may also not be able to play the DVD disks on your company computer...you may have to use a personal computer that is not connected to the company network. This is an unfortunate situation for us both.
